Jane Mallick has a BSc. (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Tasmania. Her PhD from the University of Surrey Roehampton (UK) was titled Effective drug education: understanding and facilitating effective communication between parents and young people.
In the past 12 years Jane has worked in the United Kingdom in the drug prevention field, based at the University of Surrey, Roehampton. Her role there was diverse. She convened and taught on a Certificate in drug prevention to a range of multidisciplinary professionals including teachers, youth workers, police, health professionals, and policymakers in the drug prevention field. She also conducted a range of research and development projects in community drug and alcohol education. She has published widely for a range of audiences including: reports for key stakeholders and funding bodies, peer reviewed academic journals as well as and youth, parenting and community forums. She has presented her research at national and international drug and alcohol conferences.
Jane has an extensive experience in the development, implementation and management of a diverse range of research and evaluation projects in the drugs and alcohol field. She has a particular interest in the effective implementation of community drug education and the research, evaluation and dissemination of such initiatives.
