Thank you for coming the Centre for Youth Drug Studies (CYDS) website.  From 1995 to 2008 CYDS was the Australian Drug Foundation’s research unit. In 2008 the ADF reviewed its strategic plan and identified the need for the ADF to focus on research to practice and knowledge transfer. As such the ADF is working towards integrating research into its programs and policies across the organisation.  Key components of the strategic plan in the next 4-5 years are to:

- evaluate ADF programs to ensure they are the best they can be;
- conduct market research to understand the needs of both the professionals working with Alcohol and Drug issues and the wider community;

In doing so it is envisaged that the ADF can better support the community with evidence based Alcohol and Drug information, programs, policies.
